Nest. Steps: Building the Future of Early Childhood Education is an innovative work-study program designed to help your gain meaningful employment in the field of early childhood education.

The program provides olim and those holding an Israeli work visa with immediate paid work experience, cultural integration support and field mentorship. Our goal is to amplify the field and boost the number of qualified early childhood educators in Israel, while supporting you in achieving career growth in a meaninful field.

Nest. is a first-of-its-kind English-speaking early childhood center and co-working community in Tel Aviv. We nurture children while empowering parents, all whilst elevating the people who make it all possible: our euducators. Nest, is reimagining what early education can look like across Israel — professional, supported and transparent.

Mentorship

Participants are employed full time at Nest., gaining first-hand experience in one of the city’s largest private nurseries.

Participants are enrolled in an accredited Early Childhood Development course (English), delivering a program with the knowledge and tools to excel in the industry, including child-CPR certification.

Each participant is paired with an experienced educator for professional guidance.

Graduates receive a recognized diploma, a completion bonus and advanced job placement opportunities.

Q: What is Nest. Steps? A: Nest. Steps is a work-study program that provides hands-on experience, education and mentorship in early childhood development. Participants are employed full-time at Nest. while completing an accredited course in Early Childhood Education. Q: Who is the program suitable for? A: The program is ideal for English-speaking olim and individuals interested in pursuing a long-term career in early childhood education in Israel. It’s perfect for those seeking professional growth, paid work experience and community integration. Q: How long is the program? A: The program runs for 12 months from the start of the course date, combining employment, training and mentorship throughout the year. Q: When does the program start? A: Program start dates are announced throughout the year. Interested applicants can apply below. Q: What does the program include? A: Full-time employment at Nest. for hands-on experience, cccredited coursework in Early Childhood Development (in English), Child-CPR certification, professional mentorship with an experienced educator, completion bonus, diploma and job placement support. Q: Do I need to be in Israel to apply? A: No, you can apply from abroad but we ask that you have a secured date of aliyah or are moving to Israel on a work visa. Q: What are the working hours? A: Participants work full-time hours as Nest. Educators, typically following the daily schedule of the nursery which is Sunday to Thursday, 7.30-16.15. We offer a select few part-time placements. Q: What are the study hours? A: Study hours are a combination of classroom and outside work, designed to complement participants’ employment commitments. Q: Where is Nest. located? A: We’re located in north Tel Aviv, a ten-minute walk from Hayarkon Park Q: Is there a program fee? A: There is no fee. The program provides paid employment and training is included as part of the program structure. Q: Who will be my mentor? A: Each participant is paired with a head early childhood educator at Nest. who offers professional guidance, feedback and personal support throughout the program. Q: Do you provide accommodation assistance? A: No. Accommodation is not included, but our team can offer general guidance for new olim settling in Tel Aviv. Q: What do you learn in the course? A: The course covers topics in early childhood development, child psychology, communication, health & safety and classroom management. Participants will be equipped participants with the tools to excel as early years educators. There are a few course enrollment options, which will be explained upon acceptance into the program. Q: If I already have experience, can I skip the course? A: Only if you hold an accredited Early Years diploma (or equivalent certification). Otherwise, all participants are required to complete the full course to meet program standards. Q: Can I stay employed at Nest. after completing the program? A: Yes! Graduates who perform well may be offered permanent positions within the Nest. network or receive advanced job placement opportunities in the wider education community.
